Hand Carved Rod Plug

Chris,

I emailed a couple days ago inquiring about rod plugs. I picked up a dry lilac branch today in the yard, right after sharpening my new buck knife and right before heading out to catch fish for the Blue Fly challenge (email coming next). I started whittling and...now I have a new rod plug after a touch of tung oil to finish it off. I thought you might be interested in seeing it. The rod is the 3.6 meter starter kit rod. I left a channel in the plug so I could use it while still attached to the line.

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.

The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
