Longear Sunfish
I wanted to post this picture because it’s just a pretty fish! I caught him I’m Shoal Creek located in Gladstone, MO, just south of Maple Woods Community College. This is at the extreme edge of their range. There were three, connected pools that held this fish, bluegill, green sunfish and creek chubs. I was pleased that I was able to get the pic, as he barely fit in my photo tank. (That tank was a smart investment!).

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
