A couple of things came together ... I got my Daiwa LT39SF from Chris and Mother Nature delivered a beautiful 50F day. Decided to break-in the new rod. Water flow was still high (2.5 times normal), but fishable. Had a strike on the first cast, but missed it. Went on to catch 6 (10-12") and one nice 16"! The rod worked great, but the weather forecast doesn't look too good for the next several weeks!

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
